                                What is procrastination?


    Procrastination = Is the habit of putting off until tomorrow what needs to be done today. Some people defend this bad habit by saying, "That's just my nature! " OR" I do my best work at the last minute."
No matter what excuses are offered, Procrastination is nothing but a bad habit. Like other bad habits, Procrastination can be changed.


:Procrastination Causes Problems:

1.) Failing to complete a task that others were depending on you to complete.
2.) Failing to complete tasks you ought to have completed for your own sake.
3.) failing to complete a task as well as you could have, because you ran out of time.
4.) Feeling Guilty about not completing  a task.
5.) Knowing that others think of you as someone they cannot depend on to complete.
6.) A task on time.


        If one or more of the above phrases is true for you, or you are constantly saying,"., When I get around to it," You just may have developed the habit of putting off doing important  things.
Procrastination will hinder you in your efforts to satisfactorily complete this programs of study and achieve your goals. But, You can overcome and break this habit. Experts agree that some of the most effective techniques are to:

1.) Carefully identify the project to be completed.
2.) Break the project down into smaller  tasks.
3.) Set reasonable deadlines for each small tasks.
4.)  Schedule time each day/ week to complete the smaller tasks.
5.) Schedule these tasks for when you are most productive.
6.) Go Public with your commitment to complete the project.
7.) At the beginning , work on the tasks for short times.
8.) Reward yourself for accomplishing the tasks.


    Getting started on a difficult project is often the most difficult task of the project, by far. Once you start, the project is seldom as difficult as you thought it would be. We often expend more energy avoiding a tasks than is needed to actually complete it!
